A truly delightful and scarce antique brass filigree triple fan letter holder, dating back to circa 1890, confirmed by the British Registry Date Number 153588 to the rear. This beautiful Victorian-era piece is perfect for organising your correspondence or displaying cherished photographs, adding a touch of vintage elegance to any home or office. Crafted from brass with an intricate pierced filigree fan design across its three sections, this desk top letter rack exudes the delicate charm of the late 19th century. The fan-shaped dividers create two useful slots. While designed for letters, it would also make a stunning display for antique postcards or small, treasured prints. Features: Genuine antique piece, circa 1890 Victorian fan-shaped design Delicate pierced brass filigree work Three sections, creating two storage slots Scalloped edge detail to the base British Registry Date Number 153588 to the rear Measurements (approximate): Height: 9cm (3.5 inches) Width: 12.5cm (4.9 inches) Depth: (Please provide depth if available, otherwise state ‘Depth: Not specified’) Condition: This letter rack is presented in good vintage condition, displaying a characterful patina consistent with its considerable age and use. There are some markings, tarnish, and light surface scratches as one would expect from an item over 130 years old. The delicate fans are relatively straight but could bend if undue pressure is applied. Please note, as is common with these delicate items, a few of the bottom filigree edges on the fan sections have detached from the base at the front and on the back, and some small corner pieces of the filigree may be missing. These minor imperfections do not significantly detract from the overall charm and decorative appeal of this delightful antique piece. Please examine all photographs carefully as they form part of the condition description. Styling Ideas: This elegant letter sorter would be a stunning addition to a traditional study, a vintage-inspired dressing table, or a charming accent on a hallway console table. Imagine it holding invitations, important notes, or even a collection of sepia-toned family photographs. It pairs beautifully with other antique brass desk accessories, dark wood furniture, and floral or damask patterned textiles. It could also serve as a unique napkin holder for a special occasion.
