This unique collection features two larger all-bisque dolls and three charming half-bisque dolls with cloth bodies, all originating from the renowned doll-making region of Thuringia, Germany. With their beautifully painted features and jointed limbs, they are a fab peek into the craftsmanship of the early 20th century, a time when German doll manufacturing was at its peak. Each doll tells its own story, ready to bring a touch of vintage whimsy to your home. Features: A set of five genuine early 20th-century German dolls. Two larger all-bisque jointed dolls with fully porcelain bodies. Three smaller half-bisque jointed dolls with porcelain heads and limbs, and original cloth bodies. Authentic Thuringian origin, with the “TH” marking visible on one of the larger dolls. Beautifully hand-painted facial features and hair. Jointed limbs for posing. Measurements (Approximate): The two larger all-bisque dolls stand at approximately 15 cm (5.9″) tall. The three half-bisque dolls range from 13 cm to 14.5 cm (5.1″ to 5.7″) in height. Condition: Good to Fair vintage condition. All dolls show signs of age-related wear, which only adds to their authentic charm. There is some soiling and discolouration on the cloth bodies of the half-bisque dolls consistent with age. The porcelain parts are free of any apparent cracks or chips. The stringing on some joints is a little loose, but all are intact. The half-bisque doll with the bobbed haircut shows some loss of painted finish on the hair, but this doesn’t detract from its lovely antique appeal.
