Description These heating pads are designed for Terrariums and Reptiles, with a maximum temperature reached of 35-40C. This makes for safer operation and no local “hot spots”. Encased in heat distributing aluminium foil with adhesive backing so can safely be  attached to various surfaces. Various situations where we use the heating pads: Mushroom Incubation spaces: We use these pads various incubation spaces; Agar Media (Petri/Slants/Liquid Inoculant), Spawn to grow bags. Optimum temperature is 23-27C. Seedling grow trays: Can be used to heat warm weather cultivars, like Chilli’s. This gives a great leg up when can germinate earlier so can get a longer growing season, Optimum temperature for Chilli’s germination is 23-30C. Terrariums, for Reptiles can regulate the temperature 25-32C. NOTE: For best results use with a temperature controller to ensure that your space has a constant steady temperature. Connection Instructions • Do not cut or remove the metal tips of the two heating pad wires. • Extend two pad wires with two cord wires (.4mm up to .75mm ‘flex’ ) with the use of a terminal connector block. • The use of a switch is optional. • Only use L and N terminals on your plug. No earth is required. • Plug directly into 220/240V wall plug. Directions for Terrarium: • Internal terrarium heat will vary in relation to the terrarium size. • Cover heating pad with cage carpet or substrate. • It is recommended to cover 30% of terrarium floor. Do not cover more than 50%. Reptiles cannot regulate heat (Cold-Blooded) so give them a hot space and cool space for them to move as require. • Can be connected to a temperature controller, but it is not required, if no controller minimise to 30% of floor space to heat. • Do not place food or water bowl on top of heating pad. (Water may evaporate and food may perish quicker). • Monitor temperature in terrarium, carefully the first 24 hours to ensure you’ve purchased the right model. Directions for Seedlings: Using a heating mat results in faster and also more even germination. Chili plants, Bell Peppers, Cucumbers and many more need at least 19°C soil temperature and above to germinate. If your home is cold or you have an unheated greenhouse, then it will heat just the seed trays and you won’t face a bill for heating the whole room. It also allows you to extend the sowing season. They can be used to help cuttings strike, and you can utilize the mats to overwinter tender specimens. Best used with temperature controller, use with 240V household AC, and connect mat directly to controller load output. For Chilli’s set to 23 -30C Put temperature sensor between mat and seedling tray, or immerse in a cell Directions for Mushroom Cultivation: Similarly for Mushroom mycelium a temperature of 23-27 C is advised as the optimum temperature range for growth and colonisation. Unlike plants though a dark place, like a cupboard, is advised for mycelium. As the mycelium is photogenic and will transform to fruiting stage with light. Place the heating mat vertically on the back wall. Place your temperature controller on top, or the ‘roof’, surface – as hot air rises. Set controller on a 23-27C range for optimum performance. Turn matt on if temperature less than 23C, and off if temperature raises above 27C. Beware • Keep Heating Pad Dry. • Do not handle pad whilst unit is plugged in. • Do not bend or cut. • Do not allow direct contact between pad and reptile. Always cover pad with substrate or carpet to diffuse heat evenly. Size: 35cm X 20cm Watts: 15W Surface Temperature: /- 35 to 40 degrees Celsius Voltage: 220V – 240V
